Dashboard Overview

The Guardian Pro dashboard is your central command center for AWS infrastructure governance. It provides a real-time, consolidated view of your security posture, cost efficiency, compliance status, and overall infrastructure health -- all in a single pane of glass.

When you sign in, the dashboard is the first thing you see. It is designed to surface the most important information immediately, so you can identify and act on critical issues without navigating through multiple pages.

Dashboard Layout

The dashboard is organized into several key sections, each providing a focused view of a different aspect of your AWS environment.

Health Score

The Health Score card displays a score from 0 to 100 that reflects the overall health of your monitored infrastructure. This score takes into account the number and severity of active findings, your compliance posture, and the state of your architecture.

A higher score indicates a healthier environment. The score updates automatically after every scan.

For a detailed explanation of how the health score is calculated and how to improve it, see Health Score.

tip

Aim for a health score above 80. Scores below 60 typically indicate critical or high-severity findings that require immediate attention.

Active Findings Summary

The Active Findings card provides a breakdown of all open findings by severity level:

SeverityDescription
CriticalImmediate risk to your environment. These findings represent severe misconfigurations or vulnerabilities that could lead to data exposure, unauthorized access, or service disruption.
HighSignificant risk that should be addressed promptly. These findings represent important security gaps or cost inefficiencies.
MediumModerate risk. These findings represent best-practice deviations that should be addressed during normal maintenance cycles.
LowMinor improvements. These findings represent optimization opportunities or informational recommendations.

Click any severity level to navigate directly to the Action Centre filtered to that severity.

Cost Summary

The Cost Summary card shows a snapshot of your current AWS spending:

  • Current period spend -- Your total AWS costs for the current billing period.
  • Trend indicator -- Whether your spending is increasing, decreasing, or stable compared to the previous period.
  • Optimization potential -- The estimated savings available through Guardian Pro's cost recommendations.

For detailed cost analysis, navigate to the Cost Intelligence page.

Compliance Score

The Compliance Score card displays your compliance posture across your subscribed frameworks. Guardian Pro supports industry-standard frameworks including CIS AWS Foundations Benchmark, SOC 2, GDPR, and AWS Well-Architected.

The score represents the percentage of compliance controls that are passing across your environment. Click the card to navigate to the Compliance Dashboard for a control-by-control breakdown.

info

Compliance scores are only displayed for frameworks you have subscribed to in your Settings. You can subscribe to multiple frameworks simultaneously.

Recent Activity

The Recent Activity section shows a timeline of recent events across your environment:

  • Scans completed and their results
  • Remediations applied and their outcomes
  • New findings discovered
  • Findings resolved or acknowledged

This provides a quick audit trail without needing to navigate to individual feature pages.

Scan Status

The dashboard prominently displays the status of your most recent scan, including:

  • Last scan time -- When the most recent scan completed.
  • Resources discovered -- The total number of AWS resources identified across all monitored regions.
  • Checks evaluated -- The number of automated checks that were run against your resources.
  • Run Scan button -- Trigger a new scan on demand at any time.

For more information about scanning, see Running Scans.

Multi-Account View

If your organization has connected multiple AWS accounts, the dashboard aggregates data across all accounts by default. You can switch to a specific account using the account selector in the navigation bar to view findings, costs, and health metrics for individual accounts.

note

Switching accounts updates all dashboard cards, the Action Centre, Cost Intelligence, and other feature pages to reflect only the selected account's data.

Setup Hub

When you first access Guardian Pro or when there are pending setup tasks, the dashboard displays the Setup Hub. This guided panel highlights any outstanding configuration steps, such as:

  • Completing onboarding for additional accounts
  • Configuring Cost and Usage Report (CUR) integration for cost analysis
  • Subscribing to compliance frameworks
  • Setting up notification preferences

Once all setup tasks are complete, the Setup Hub is replaced by the standard dashboard view.

Dashboard Refresh

Dashboard data refreshes automatically when you navigate to the page. You can also manually refresh the data by clicking the refresh icon. For real-time updates during active scans or remediations, Guardian Pro pushes updates directly to the dashboard -- no manual refresh required.
