Subscription
Guardian Pro uses a modular subscription model with two plans and three purchasable modules. Your subscription determines the features available to you, the number of AWS accounts you can monitor, and the usage limits for AI-powered capabilities.
Accessing Subscription Settings
Navigate to Settings > Subscription from the left sidebar. You need the org:read permission to view your subscription details.
Plans
Base Platform
The Base Platform is included with any module subscription. It provides core infrastructure capabilities including resource discovery, the Infrastructure Wizard, AI Assistant (standard daily limit), notification preferences, and support tickets.
Best for:
- Any organisation subscribing to one or more add-on modules.
- The Base Platform is not sold separately -- it activates when you subscribe to your first module.
Enterprise
The Enterprise plan provides unlimited scale and the highest level of support for large organisations.
Best for:
- Large enterprises with many AWS accounts and complex organisational structures.
- Organisations needing unlimited accounts, users, and AI Assistant usage.
Add-On Modules
Modules unlock specific governance capabilities and can be purchased individually or as a bundle:
| Module | Price | What It Unlocks |
|---|---|---|
| Security & Compliance | $179/mo | Security scanning, automated remediation, rollback, compliance frameworks, AI insights |
| Architecture Advisor | $179/mo | Risk Radar, failure simulation, health scoring, architecture map, IaC governance |
| Cost Intelligence | $179/mo | Cost analysis, anomaly detection, financial advisory, rightsizing, savings tracking |
| Guardian Pro Complete | $399/mo | All three modules (save $138/mo vs buying separately) |
For a detailed feature breakdown per module, see Plans & Modules.
AI Assistant Usage
The AI Assistant has a daily token budget that varies by plan:
| Plan | Daily AI Budget | Typical Usage |
|---|---|---|
| Base | Standard allocation | Approximately 20-30 conversations per day |
| Enterprise | Maximum allocation | Approximately 500+ conversations per day |
The AI budget resets daily at midnight UTC. Unused budget does not roll over.
Viewing Your Current Subscription
The Subscription page shows:
- Current plan -- Your active subscription plan (Base or Enterprise).
- Active modules -- Which add-on modules are currently enabled.
- Status -- Your subscription status (Active, Trial, etc.).
- Usage summary -- Current usage against your plan limits (accounts, users).
- AWS Marketplace link -- Direct link to manage your subscription.
Usage Indicators
The Subscription page displays progress bars for key limits:
- Accounts -- How many of your account slots are in use.
- Users -- How many of your user slots are in use (including pending invitations).
- Budgets -- How many of your budget slots are in use.
When you approach a limit (80% or above), Guardian Pro displays a warning. When you reach a limit, the affected feature is restricted until the limit resets or you upgrade.
Managing Your Subscription
To add or remove modules, or change your plan:
- Navigate to Settings > Subscription.
- Click Manage on AWS Marketplace.
- You will be redirected to AWS Marketplace to modify your subscription.
- Select your desired plan and modules, then confirm.
Module additions take effect immediately. You gain instant access to the new module's features.
Module additions are reflected immediately -- no need to log out or refresh. Your features and limits are updated automatically.
Removing Modules
When you remove a module:
- Features provided by that module become unavailable.
- Data collected by the module's features is retained but not actively updated.
- You can re-add the module at any time to restore access.
Downgrading Your Plan
If you downgrade from Enterprise to Base:
- Your account and user limits change. If you exceed the Base plan limits, Guardian Pro will prompt you to select which resources to keep within 7 days.
- Unselected resources are automatically suspended after the grace period.
Downgrading does not delete your data. Historical scan results, findings, and remediation records are retained. However, some features may become unavailable until you add the relevant module or upgrade again.
Billing
Guardian Pro billing is managed entirely through AWS Marketplace:
- Billing method -- Charges appear on your AWS bill alongside your other AWS services.
- Billing cycle -- Monthly, depending on your Marketplace subscription.
- Invoices -- Available through the AWS Billing Console.
- Payment -- Uses your existing AWS payment method.
For billing questions, contact Support or manage your subscription directly through AWS Marketplace.
