Organisation Settings

The Organisation settings page lets you view and manage the core details of your Guardian Pro organisation. This includes your organisation name, primary contact information, linked AWS accounts, and the overall status of your environment.

Accessing Organisation Settings

Navigate to Settings > Organisation from the left sidebar. You need the org:read permission to view this page and org:write to make changes.

Organisation Details

Organisation Name

Your organisation name is displayed throughout the Guardian Pro console and is included in compliance reports, notification emails, and exported documents. You can update it at any time.

To change your organisation name:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Organisation.
  2. Click the Edit button next to the organisation name.
  3. Enter the new name.
  4. Click Save.
note

Changing the organisation name is cosmetic and does not affect your AWS connections, scan data, or user access. It updates the display name across the platform.

Primary Contact

The primary contact is the person responsible for the Guardian Pro account within your organisation. This contact receives critical system notifications such as subscription changes, billing alerts, and platform maintenance announcements.

The primary contact includes:

  • Name -- The contact person's full name.
  • Email -- The email address for system-level notifications.
  • Phone (optional) -- A phone number for urgent notifications on the Enterprise tier.
tip

The primary contact does not need to be the same person who set up Guardian Pro. You can transfer this responsibility at any time through the Organisation settings.

Connected AWS Accounts

The Organisation settings page displays a summary of all AWS accounts connected to Guardian Pro:

FieldDescription
Management AccountYour AWS Organization's management account, used for organisation-level discovery
Member AccountsThe number of member accounts discovered and connected
Active AccountsAccounts currently being monitored by Guardian Pro
Pending AccountsAccounts discovered but not yet fully onboarded

Viewing Account Details

Click on any account to see its connection status, the last scan time, and the number of resources discovered. For detailed account management, see Account Management.

Adding New Accounts

When new accounts are added to your AWS Organization, Guardian Pro detects them automatically if you deployed roles using the organisation-wide method during onboarding. New accounts appear in the Pending state until the required access role is confirmed.

For manual account additions, see Account Management.

Organisation ID

Your organisation ID is a unique identifier assigned when your Guardian Pro account was created. This ID is used internally for data isolation and appears in support requests.

You can find your organisation ID at the bottom of the Organisation settings page. This value cannot be changed.

info

When contacting support, include your organisation ID to help the team locate your account quickly. See Support for contact details.

Data Residency

Guardian Pro processes and stores your infrastructure metadata in a specific AWS region. The Organisation settings page displays your data residency region. This region was determined during initial setup and cannot be changed after account creation.

Your data residency region affects:

  • Where your scan results, findings, and configuration data are stored.
  • Where AI-powered analysis is performed.
  • Which data protection regulations apply to your stored data.
caution

Data residency cannot be changed after account creation. If you have specific data residency requirements, ensure you select the correct region during onboarding. Contact Support if you need to discuss data residency options.

Organisation Deletion

Deleting your Guardian Pro organisation permanently removes all data, including scan history, findings, remediation records, and user accounts. This action is irreversible.

To request organisation deletion:

  1. Contact Support with your organisation ID.
  2. The primary contact will receive a confirmation email.
  3. After confirmation, all data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
danger

Organisation deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All historical data, including compliance reports, remediation history, and cost analysis records, will be permanently deleted. Export any required data before requesting deletion.
